Making a difference for families with global stories of hope and healing.
Listen to the autism recovery journey of an Indian child living in the USA.
He used to be non-verbal. If he needed something, he would drag his parent to what he wanted. Now, if he wants water, he says, “I want water.”
The parents share their story about their son’s autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. He played with others until 18 months (1.5 years) and seemed to be a neuro-typical child. Then, he began to change. It started with him not responding to his name.
The doctors tested his hearing, which came back normal.
Shortly after that, they went back to India. The doctors treated him with Ayurvedic herbals for speech delay and diagnosed him with mild autism.
To directly target the symptoms, they tried Bacopa Monnieri, also called Brahmi, a staple plant in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. This herb causes a lot of brain stimulation. However, in complex autism, many underlying issues need to be addressed before attempting to stimulate the brain directly.
After the diagnosis, the family thought it would be better to be in the United States, where they tried chiropractic, minor surgery, and other herbal remedies.
His parents witnessed some improvement with the new round of herbals and were told that’s all the improvement they will see.
He underwent extensive testing where mold, biotoxin illness, and more were factors in his autism symptoms.
After following the BioNexus Approach through several phases, the parents report significant and sustained improvement.
