Alice shares the backstory of her 9-year-old, Angelo, who had an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis.
Angelo started in mainstream autism therapies, but there was a lot of frustration with it.
"He was just uncomfortable and in pain being in his own body."
Her young son was agitated, had poor sleep habits, and had very poor self-regulation.
Moving into naturopathic and homeopathic therapies, she saw some improvements.
"Parents with special needs are always looking for something else and something better."
She moved Angelo into bio-medical treatments and saw more improvements. His sleep got marginally better, and his bowels improved. However, after a few years, they felt they hit another plateau.
Her son was on a special diet. They followed all the food sensitivity guides, removed gluten and dairy, and put him on supplements. But felt they hit a wall.
She continued her hunt for the next answer.
